Thomas Henry Dent (1879 – 11 September 1929) was an Australian cricketer and banker who played first-class cricket for Hawke's Bay in New Zealand in 1901 and 1902. Playing for Scinde in Napier club cricket in 1900-01, Dent took 67 wickets with his leg-spin at an average of 7.36. He played his first first-class match for Hawke's Bay in January 1901, taking 5 for 46 and 3 for 60 in an innings victory over Auckland.〔(【引用サイトリンク】 Hawke's Bay v Auckland 1900-01 )〕 In his next match three months later, against Wellington, he took 9 for 47 and 3 for 63. He moved to Sydney in July 1902 to work for the Bank of New South Wales. Starting as a clerk, he was appointed branch manager at Bangalow on the northern New South Wales coast, then transferred inland to Kyogle to manage the branch there.
